We had a nice weekend with the boys-  zoo, swimming, park, playtime outside, pizza and arcade.

I'll be 19 wks on Wednesday.  Since my c section will be scheduled at 39 weeks, that means I'll be halfway done on Saturday! My nausea is FINALLY gone (haven't thrown up in about 2 weeks!).  I did catch a pretty nasty cold/sinus infection that lasted over a week, but thankfully that is also almost gone as well. I'm starting to feel like me again for the first time since early January.  :)

16 weeks and a Parent-Teacher conference

* My phone is currently missing... with a dead battery.  Not sure if it was me or the kids, but I will blame it on them.  I am 99% sure it is in the house (or car), but have not been able to locate it.  Going on day 3...  So, if you need me, please email or FB message me.

16 week Doctor apt was today...

I am still feeling very miserable.  This has been a very challenging pregnancy so far.  My doctor prescribed me with a medication that will hopefully ease some of my nausea.  My pattern is:  feeling okay (not great) in the morning, after lunch I get really sleepy and usually lay down during naptime and it's all downhill from there.  I am still getting VERY sick whenever I try to cook dinner.  I usually throw up at least once during meal prep and have not been able to eat dinner in about 4 weeks.  I go to bed around 7 and then wake up around midnight and vomit for about 2 hours.  Then lay in bed uncomfortably, and awake, until the kids wake up at 6:30.  I usually wake with a headache, which my doctor says is from dehydration from nighttime vomiting.  I am still having trouble drinking water and everything else has so much sugar its starting to make me sick as well.....

Phil is really holding down the fort and doing most of the grocery shopping, and picking up a lot of slack around the house.

I hate complaining like this, but I am seriously miserable and desperately wanting to feel better...I don't know how much more I can take.

The other major pregnancy symptom is being over-emotional.  I had a complete meltdown at Trey's school last week during my parent-teacher conference.  Basically, his teachers' feel that he is developmentally behind in reading/writing skills for his age and is struggling to keep up in class.  He is easily distractible and has trouble focusing. They are letting him work at his own pace, but had some concerns about his cognitive development and would like for me to get him tested.  I was/am completely devastated by this.  He is a bright boy, I know that, but he does struggle with some things that we have gone over 10000x.  I respect their evaluations of him, and want to be proactive, but part of me thinks he is just 4 and needs more time...  I am working extra hard with him on letters and numbers during our free time.  If you have any favorite books or activities to make it fun for him, please email me suggestions.  If he is still struggling by the end of the year, I think I will get him tested and start speech therapy (for language/articulation and cognition) this summer.
