Back to Work

Monday was my first day back at work... it was a long day, but it went well and our nanny said both boys were really good, which made me feel better.  I have my part time schedule set for M, W, F and one weekend a month.  Knowing I had today off made it a little easier to be away.

Today, we had play date with the mom's group at a local park.  It was a fabulous day here.  My boys both love being outside.   After the park, Trey took a 3 hour nap and Charlie and I had a long photo shoot.  :)

Charmin' Charlie

Charlie has started to smile intentionally!  It's just about the cutest thing ever.  Hopefully, I'll catch some on camera...

2 month checkup and park play date

It was SHOT day at Charlie's 2 month checkup.   Poor thing had no clue what was about to happen!

Charlie's stats at 2 months are:  weight: 13 lb 14 oz (100%), length: 24.75 inches (100%) and head circumference: 15.75" (90%).  He's such a rolly Polly lil chunk!

Then we enjoyed this beautiful 70 degree day with play date with the moms group at the park!

Trey has become so independent at the park.  He can climb the rock wall and rope ladders without me "spotting" him anymore!

Trey loves "playing" with Lochte!  For being a bad dog, Lochte sure is good with the kids!

Kid updates

The Mickey mouse fishing pole has turned out to be the best $13.00 ever spent.  Trey is obsessed!

Our little artist...

It's been pretty chilly, and our whole family has been under the weather, so we've been house-bound and decided it was a good time to tackle potty training.

Trey has gone pee on the potty off and on since July.  He would go every time I put him on the potty, but never initiated it himself.  And, I got lazy, so the past couple of months he's mainly used diapers...

Yesterday, we locked ourselves in the Florida room with our potty, a space heater, plenty of books and toys (and Sophia the First).  Treyman was naked from waist down and went 12 times with no accidents!!  Today hass been similar.  He has gone straight to his potty without a prompt from me every time!  So proud! Next step, big boy underwear!!

And, of course, who could forget this handsome fella...

Sweet, sweet baby Charlie!  He is seriously the best baby ever!!  We've been transitioning Charlie to his crib... For naps, at least!  No more bassinet/napping on mom and dad's bed!  He still likes to be swaddled and warm and cozy.  He didnt like his crib at first, but seems to be doing better this weekend.  Today has been his first long nap in the crib... Going on 3.5 hours straight!

My parents left yesterday and I only got one pic of their trip!  I'm seriously slacking... Oh well, we had a good visit and are looking forward to our trip up there this spring!

With family gone and hubs back at work, I have been solo with both kiddos for a full week!  And, to my surprise, it has gone unbelievebly smoothly!  Yes, I realize I have just jinxed myself...

Monday, we spent the morning playing and then went to my doctors' office for my 6 week post-op visit (where I was cleared to resume normal activity and exercise!).  They were both ANGELS.  In fact, Trey was so friendly to everyone I had several people ask if they could take him home.  He kept saying "thank you, doctor.  Doctor fix mama's big boo boo." What a sweet boy!  :)  I even took them out for lunch.  Not a single meltdown the entire day!

We;ve been to the park, zoo and mall all without issue!  It's defintely harder juggling two, but I feel pretty good so far.  I've even got them on the same afternoon nap schedule... both have been down for 2.5 hours and counting-  house is clean, dinner prep done and now catching up on the blog.  It's amazing how much you can get done in 2 hours without kids!

So, here are some pics of the boys from the zoo today:
