Baby It's Cold Outside

Trey is a FLORIDA boy.  Let me tell you-- not a fan of the winter coats, hats, or cold weather.

Tis the Season

Another Christmas has come and gone.  Like always, this has been a very Merry time of year for the Z fam.  We spent some time up at Phil's parents'/brothers' house in PA and got to spend plenty of QT with friends and family.  Trey is at such a fun age.  He really enjoyed exploring the house (especially the stairs) and having constant attention.  He's still too young to get the whole Christmas thing, but he certainly enjoyed playing with all of his new toys.  Thanks, all!

Here are some highlights from our trip.  WARNING:  Be prepared for photo overload.

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

PS-  I didn't get around to sending holiday cards this year--  I LOVE all of the ones I received and promise to try to get them sent out next year.  I was a major holiday slacker this year.  :)

GM Weekend

I can not BEGIN to tell you how spoiled I felt this past weekend at Phil's GM Holiday weekend get-a-way.  To say we were treated like royalty is an understatement.  Phil works for a wonderful company, who owns some pretty fabulous hotel properties (i.e.  the sandpearl in Clearwater, which is where we all stayed).

We checked into our suite on Friday night and found our room filled with presents for Phil and Trey and lots of yummy cheeses, wines, champagne and chocolates for me!   Not too shabby!

Friday night was our cocktail reception at the private villa.... the GORGEOUS one that has hosted celebs like Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and the cast of "Magic Mike" (which was filmed in Clearwater).

The decor was very festive.  Signature cocktails and drinks at the open bar were flowing.  And handmade sushi and meat carving stations were abundant.  The cocktail hour (okay, four hours) was followed by a private bonfire on the beach with SMORES!

Saturday, all of the GM's went on a private fishing charter.  They had some big success-- they maxed out on keeper groupers (which we have been enjoying eating all week!).

Saturday night was our fancy dinner.  A limo picked us up at the hotel and drove us to a cute, very elegant local restaurant where we dined on pretty much everything on the menu.  I enjoyed a little too much wine.  Apparently, I thought I was back in college.  Obviously, I am not...

Sunday, after I was able to move out of the bed from the massive too-much-wine hangover, we enjoyed a seaside brunch and a day at the pool/beach in our private cabanas.  Ahhh, the life!

Trey and my parents even made the trip down and spent the day at the beach with our friends and our friends' kids, too!   (Of course, I forgot the camera in our room for all of this cute fun)

I'm already looking forward to next year's GM trip!  Hopefully Phil is able to stay with this company for a LOOOONG time.  :)

Holiday Parade

Grandmom and Grandad M were in town visiting Treyman this weekend.   Perfect timing for me and Phil, too, as it was his annual GM holiday retreat at the beautiful Sandperal Resort (post coming soon)!  While Phil and I were being totally pampered and spoiled with good food, open bars, wine (too much), presents galore and private charter fishing trips, Trey was able to spend some QT with his grands!

I snuck away from the hotel Saturday morning (when Phil and the other GMs were fishing), and took my parents to Tarpon Springs for their big Holiday Parade.

Trey liked everything (except for the overly loud firetrucks), but especially LOVED the monster truck and marching band!  Although, cousin Avery wasn't playing in this one.
